Wandering Without Answers in PatagoniaThis is where questions come from. The PowderQuest ski guiding season ends. What to do. We both, Pierre and I have three weeks off before our next commitment. Scratch, scratch, scratch…our heads are itching and we are chomping at the bit for some action. Hi everyone,Here we are! It is spring time in Chile. After spending most of the season in central Chile, Phil and I just flew to southern Patagonia. It is still winter down here with plenty of snow to enjoy. We are presently in Punta Arenas in order to set up transportation logistics for the next month down here. Many great objectives on the list. First of all, the legendary Torres des Paine national park. Then heading north to El Calafate and El Chalten and the magnificent Fitz Roy Massif as well as cerro Torre. Some of the world’s most beautiful mountains, on the edge of the Southern Ice Cap, the world’s third biggest ice sheet. With a little help of mother nature, we will get to ski these areas that do not get skied very often. Heading back to Canada early November, this will conclude our 2007 south american winter season.Agrandir le planAgrandir le planHere is a link to more information about Patagonia:AndesCrossScroll down to the 11 day icefield traverse.Pictures anf footage coming up soon…
